Our tinned option comes from Elga's stainless steel welding rod family and is called Cromarod. A quality range of electrodes that offer excellent, smooth weld bead shape, full traceability and a self detaching slag. These electrodes set the standard with less heat input required and minimal spatter.
Vacuum packed electrodes are supplied by Esab. Hermetically sealed packaging protects the rods from moisture pick up. Esab's stainless steel offering covers off stainless grades 316 (63.30), 309 (67.60) & 309Lmo (67.70).
308 : Suitable for welding stainless grade 18/8, 304. Has good corrosion resistance.
309 : Designed for welding stainless steel to mild steel and low alloyed steels and offers the opportunity to lay buffer layers. Called a disimmilar & gives corrosion resistance.
312 ; An extremely versatile electrode. This welding rod is great for difficult to weld steels & dissimilar joints, stainless to high carbon or low alloyed steels. It can face up any base material, except cast iron. Has a high tensile strength, resistance to weld cracking and corrosion resistance.
316 : Perfect for welding low carbon, 316 type material. Offer a mirror like finish.
