The Duramax torch uses a nozzle and spring electrode design which eliminates moving parts within the torch head providing longer consumable life and reliability.
Hypertherm tests show an up to 55 percent increase in consumable life compared to previous generation Powermax spares, and feedback from our own customers confirms this claim, which they say translates into a real saving against the old torch setup.
Hypertherm’s all new Hyamp cutting torch first featured on the range topping Powermax 125 cutting system. The new torch technology was designed to meet the high power, 100% duty cycle of the Powermax 125 and is Hypertherm’s most durable hand held cutting torch. Designed using Hypertherm’s FastConnect torch system, the torch can actually be used on the Powermax 105, 85 and 65 systems providing even greater consumable life and the best durability in its class.
Hypertherm Duramax retrofit torches now offer all the benefits of the latest Hypertherm Duramax torch technology for older generation systems. They are designed with the same Easy Torch Removal (ETR) connection as the standard Powermax1000, 1250 and 1650 torches (the original torches for these systems have been discontinued), enabling switching from the older torch to the new in just a few seconds.
The retrofit torches are also available for Powermax 600, 800, 900 and Max42/43 systems using either quick disconnect fittings or hard wired setups. We always judge the successfulness of a new product using feedback from our own customers and we can safely say the Duramax retrofit torch has gone down a storm! One of the most popular comments we get is that fitting a Duramax retrofit torch gives an older machine a new lease of life with improved performance, cut quality, and consumable life.
