Here's an overview of the MIG & TIG gloves we offer:
The everyday Foster Gold welders gauntlet has a re-inforced palm, is double kevlar stitched and has a long 16 inch cuff, whilst the Weldas Comfloflex glove is a wide bodied, heavy duty glove with a re-inforced thumb. An excellent choice for high amperage MIG. The Comfloflex has 4 ply and 5 ply kevlar stitching and is rated as a Kat 2 glove, meaning it is suitable for a high level of spatter & heat.
For extra protection around high amperage, intense heat MIG welding, adopt the Weldas Heat Reflective Handshield. The aluminized outer shell attaches to the back of gauntlet, leaving the fingers free to operate. It has a leather backing, with 5 ply kevlar stitching meaning it's manufactured to last. This shield can be utilsed in conjunction with the Weldas Aluminised gauntlet, a glove manufactured with an inner comfort of a Comfloflex glove, but with a high heat resistant outer.
TIG welders love the Weldas Soft touch gloves for their seamless index finger, flexibility and feel, whilst the Luxury Deerskin from Weldas exudes incredible softness & luxury to boot. Both gloves are 3 ply kevlar stitched & category 2 rated, meaning they are suitable for an industrial high heat environment.
If you are a jobber & don't want to break the budget, look no further than the Foster Chrome Leather Glove.
For extra heat protection & support around the TIG filler finger, buy the Weldas TIG finger. The TIG finger has kevlar stitching & is made from silica material.
